Trackday/Airfield Day - Fakenham - 6th November

Hi Guys ...

Have been speaking to Shawn Taylor Racing over the past few months about organising regular track days/airfield days in East Anglia.

Shawn has finally put together his pilot event, and I'm actually pretty impressed with what he has arranged. It is really an airfield day, but it has ...
  • Two separate high speed tracks
  • A rally track
  • Instruction
  • Manufacturers attending with vehicles for test drives
  • A slalom competition
  • Catering included
  • A number of other clubs to joust with (invites have been given to clubs for Scoobs, Skylines, Nobles, Porsches and Ferraris amongst others)
  • Car hire if you don't fancy trashing your own car
And apparently, you can even turn up in your own plane/helicopter if you have one and land there 8)

Shawn's initial promotional flyer for the day is in a Word document here ...

http://www.storevalley.net/evo/STR-2005-11-06.zip

Cost per ticket is £130, but Shawn is offering a commission of £10 per ticket for quantities of 25 tickets or more if clubs want to buy in advance.

I have spoken to bazza about this, and suggested that if we can get more than 25 people or more interested we can do a group buy on the tickets and donate the commission earned to lancer-evo.net.

How many people would be interested in attending?

Note that I have asked Shawn for more info in a couple of areas ...
  • What will we be eating?
  • What exactly are the cars up for test drives?
  • There are a number of "extras" that can be bought ... I have asked for a full price list.
If anybody wants any more info, post up your questions and I'll get some answers from Shawn for you.

Hi Liam ...

Have passed on your questions, and will post up as soon as I have a reply. As noted in my PM back, I'm not sure that the event has anything to do with Prova but have asked that question too.

I do like the sound of the rally track. Sounds like that could be real fun, especially with AYC

Take it you will attend in the RS and show us how its really done then baz?

If you want to see how AYC really behaves under pressure, a muddy rally course with loads of run off is the place to find out
