Hi
already spoke to Karl via pm about this. I'll know closer to the day whether i can make it or not Oh & as for Well Lane. I've been using them for the past 6yrs. Never had ANY trouble with dyno results. I used to have my old mk2 CRX VTEC dynod there. I also organized a couple of Honda days there. As a back up for their results i organized a Civic Type R club day. I was an honorary member due to them all lovin my CRX There was almost a dozen CTRs. None had major mods, just the usual breathing upgrades, exhaust, filters etc. EVERY car produced the kind of figures you'd expect from such upgrades. I even took my runabout bog standard 205 1.9 GTi & had that dynod for the laugh. Produced what it says on the tin, 130bhp I took my CRX their dozens of times in the 3yr i had it. Each time i modded the engine it went on the rollers & was pretty much what you'd expect every time. 1st power run it produced 157bhp(150bhp standard) with a K&N & a powerflow exhaust. It had better gains mid range. The final power run after about 2yrs & a very very large sum of ££ being thrown at it it maganed 236bhp :-) Craig 8) |

You could say it accelerated well You'd be surprised at some of the stuff i've kept up with or beaten  Altho i never had a play against an Evo. Plenty of Scoobs, S2Ks, Type Rs, RS4, Escort Cossie, even a Ferrari  Then the usual stuff that seem intent on trying to sit on your bumper no matter what car your drivin or how fast your going, Saxos etc Just to give you an idea of the spec 1991 H CRX VTEC DTA remampable ECU with traction & full throttle launch control & shift light 1.6VTEC head, ported & polished ITR cams, valves & cam followers JUN Ti retainers & uprated valve springs Piper cam pulleys bored out throttle body SKUNK2 racing inlet manifold 2.2VTEC injectors uprated fuel rail & pump SARD FPR Magnecor 8.5 leads Denso iridium plugs Custom made carbon airbox encasing a HUUUUUGE K&N cone, cold air fed by 3x 3" intakes behind the meshed bumper 1.8VTEC block JDM oversized ITR pistons & rings lightened & balanced crank with all bearings replaced with uprated versions JUN lightened flywheel ITR uprated Helix clutch Quaife ATB LSD Gearbox rebuilt DC Sports 4-2-1 s/s header Tanabe Super Racing Medallion exhaust with Scorpion decat Lumenition AFRM Lumenition Performance ignition B&M quickshift KONI coilovers with H&R springs Poly bushes upper & lower f/r strut braces Honda NSX front calipers with Black Diamond discs & Pagid pads Rear Pagid discs & pads Goodrich hoses Cobra buckets Sparco steering wheel with Snap-off hub 15" OZ Superleggeras with Toyo Prox T1S There's prob some other stuff i've missed, prob not too important. Was eventually stripped out. Was a real street sleeper, cosmetically it just looked like a normal CRX with a big exhaust, lowered on 15"s. The only problem i found was that with the diet mainly consisting of the rear being stripped out it felt like it was going to do an endo whenever the brakes were used hard, especially with the NSX calipers. That's how it eventually had it's life ended. Ended up sideways then ploughing into the central reservation of motorway. I wasn't even going that fast. I opposite locked it but it just snapped around the other way & bang!! Took impact with front right corner. The chasis was twisted big time Craig 8) |
