Richi do you know if you can get the day off yet
After browsing the forum and reading a few old posts its seems as tho a few of you have had some runnins with a few caterham owners well can I just say that our cars arnt caterhams, the combined cost of our cars is half of what a caterham would cost ,we built them our selves and we havnt got the attitude and snobbery that some of them have ..all we want to do is drive as fast and safe as we can and make a few friends along the way.I know our cars dont fit in here but with trackdays its all about having fun so i hope you dont mind us using this part of the forum. 8)

Guilty as charged, had what could have been a very nasty incident on track with one last year that could have took all 3 of us out!! After the session finished I went over to have a word with the pillock and he denied any fault at all!!!
Boy I was , had it not have been for my partner I'd have slapped him there and then! No track sense!!!
Anyways, enough of that, I certainly don't class you all the same, another day another track 8)
to the forum guys, hope to see you soon! 8)

Hi, thanks dudes.
They are MK Indys.
http://www.mksportscars.co.uk/indy.htm
There based on the westfield/caterhams, but cost a third of the price. They use sierra running gear so that keeps track running costs down well, unless you put a bike engine in. I think the Anglesey fuel bill worked out to 5mpg

so for 10k you can have one built for you, or for 1.5K and a 1.6 Sierra you can have one to build your self.
Did you build yours or did you get it already made?

normally about 15mpg.
OX built them both in 12 months. You can build a car version for 5K and a bike for 6K, the busa cost 10K to build cus the engines are afew K more.
The forum we mostly use is: www.locostbuilders.co.uk. and all build questions get answered here, or if your thinking of getting one. (like most forums it has its know-alls, pratts )

Cheers folks.
My cars doing about 16mpg on normal road use but as soon as I give it any beans you can see the fuel gauge move hehe.
The MK luxury kit(lol) costs around £3000 with this comes the chassis, wish bones, body panels, seats and a few other bits and pieces. Its a little harder than just bolting it all together but anyone could do it.My brothers cost £7000 and mine cost £10000 to build. The engine and dry sump kit on mine was the expensive bit £4000 and isnt that much faster than the R1 engine, but as long as it is im happy :muhaha:
