Because its taken me nearly 3 years to work out all the address's for the ecu and how the code works for the early stuff, which is how ive been able to make a fully mappable ecu off the stock unit and include things like launch control, anti lag, security etc etc by writing code into the stock item, no offence but i aint going to give that away, ive even patented what ive done upto now!

no offence taken mate, I would not release the info if I was in you position. Do you have a rolling road or do you tune it by ear?

moving away from specifics then

The Cam senser, is that where the ECU gets the timing information from?

yes thats correct,if you put the ecu into diagonostic mode then get the trusty timing light out (remeber them :-) ) base timing should be set at 5 degrees, we tune via datalogging and wideband it seems to work pretty well just takes a long time to get spot on

as the trusted xenon strob lights, I think I still have on somewhere.

The cam sensor, what sort of resolution does that give? obiously the higher the resolution the more accurate the timing can be. or is it a case of one blip per rev, and then using an internal counter to say bang at the right time, then again this form or ignition retard/advance is dependent on the timer inthe ECU, Which wold be effected by heat, varying voltages etc.

cam angle basically works as a hall effect, rpm and top dead center are worked from it, the rest is how you say then worked by the ecu, dependant on heat/air/baro etc etc which obviously is already written on the eprom chip

that must be complicated because the time between cam sensor blip and firing the plugs is going to change with the RPM. so what is the rpm differences between different delay?

cams run at half rpm remember
