The Nurburg Ring a trip to remember

The Nurburg Ring has to be one of the most demanding tracks in the world and the day we sat down over a beer on a Whitby run and said why don’t we organize a trip out next year we knew it was going to be fabulous idea :muhaha: .

So I thought I would knock a bit of a picture dairy up for you guys that are thinking about coming out with us, I know there will be a lot more out there next time .

The trip out:
We hit the road nice and early to try and get a bit of a head start on all the fuel protesters that were suppose to be doing go slows on the motorways, well that was after we did a bit of a quick fix job on Nik’s CRX .

The journey was easy enough with a bit of traffic in the midlands, once we arrived at Dover it was just a case of drop the bags and get some food and drink and more drink, well let’s just say some of us ended up a little drunk :???: .

The next morning began with a steady ride over the ferry terminal followed by a very rough crossing of the channel ( Alirc wasn’t sick, close though ) .

A steady ride through France and in Belgium realy got everyone back into the swing of it and after a meal stop at Circuit Zolder we where set for the rest of the day.

6 hours later we arrived in Adenu where we were stopping for the duration of the trip :-) .

Let just say the accommodation took us all by surprise 2 whole houses to our selves what more could you ask for  .

After dropping all the kit off we went for a sighting lap on the track, it really does bring it back to you how immense this track is when you haven’t been down for a while.

Nurburg Ring:
Day one out on track was a bit of a learning curve for us all getting us to the track and remembering where all the corners are was a bit of a challenge but not long after we where starting to put some really good laps in and the evo’s were coming in to there own .

The evo really dose decimate all on that track there wasn’t much that could keep up with us, namely the ring Taxi and a few other choice bits and bobs.

A lot of money driving around also

Night life:
Now you wouldn’t think there would be much night life around in the mountainous reign of Germany but you would be surprised, there are countless restaurants and bars in nearby towns and villages :-) .

A few members had a little to drink

Over the following days we found our self’s spending more and more time on track, even MAW popped down for and couple of days racing on the weekend.

But as usual all good things must come to a end, after a steady ride back to the ferry and a few days at home all you can think of now is when are we going back and don’t worry about that plans are already in motion :muhaha: .

I would like to say thanks to all the people that came on this trip to make it one of the most memorable ring trips I have ever been on.

And here’s to the next one

Matt
