Alfa Romeo Testdrive - What an experience!

First of all at Alfas

This afternoon during office lunch break my fren who was interested in geeting an Alfa 147 GTA and I decided to go to an Alfa Romeo dealership not far from where we were. The salesman quickly greeted us and start trying to sell us the car, how much power it has, features and .
After my fren had been impressed with the car we decided to go for a test drive, so the salesman at first took us for a ride in the demo model that had done 5000kms. He was going on about how great the selespeed was, fanging the car around the backstreets until a loud..BANG!..and the gearbox wouldn't engage! The gearbox had Blown! He had blown the gearbox and we were stuck in the middle of the road, the car unable to move.

I couldn't believe it, we had to push the car to the side! What a piece of crap! The ops: look on the salesman was priceless!!

I told my fren, man...stick to the Jap rockets! It's reliable, got 4 doors (EVOs), freakin quick and most importantly doesn't break down! :muhaha:

If only they could build them properly

Some of the Alfas are stunning looking cars 8) just a shame that they are built by Fiat

I'd have one of these tomorrow if i knew it would last, and not depreciate like they do :???:

mate of mine had a 147GTA, 13000 miles in at around 90 mph the timing belt decided to go ;x
