Drove a Subaru this weekend

Dont worry, I aint buying one!

Went for a Sunday afternoon blast with my mate (Blacky) in his 285hp WRX yesterday, had great fun hooning round the backroads of Suffolk/Norfolk... 8)

Stopped for a beverage and then took each others cars out for a blast.

I have never driven a Subaru before, I have to admit that it was quite nice to drive, seats were'nt as nice as my Recaros but the interior is certainly better than than my II. Pulled very strong when it came on boost (1.2bar) and sounded quite nice (full 3inch from turbo back), but the handling (Tein NA coilover thingys) was not as nice as the Evo, steering was much heavier and the whole car just did not feel as nimble as mine. Let him drive mine and he said it felt slower (which it would, standard car) but he really liked the handling and the way it felt whilst giving it some...

So in conclusion, I liked the Scoob, but will be sticking to the Evo!

Nice to have a comparison tho...

He is a fan of Evos, think he would like a IV, V or VI next, but not until next year... either that or he would like an STI6 or one of them 2 door Type R ones... neither are my cup of tea, its still a Scoob! :darkside:
