Winter runabout

Might have the chance to buy a Sierra 1.8 off a guy here at work its got 9 months MOT and a few months tax, I have heard on the grapevine that he only wants £150 for it!

What do you reckon I would pay to insure it? I have 2 years no claims to use on it... Third party only is all I would bother with....

Worth it or not? :-?

Probably save you a few £££ in petrol.. It may cost you £££ in repairs though..

As long as there is an MOT and some tax on it and it runs I am not fussed. Dont really want to use the Evo through the manky weather and work is only 10 mins up the road (no I am not going to cycle!)

Use it, kill it and scrap it was my plan.... only thing making me wonder is insurance...

And if it breaks down badly you can ram it into a tree and forget about it!! [best thing for a sierra]

Thats my plan Steve, got stung last year by buying something unusual (Daihatsu Charade G11 Turbo) and ended up losing out quite a bit... this year I just want something that runs and can get me to work and back, I have a nice big single garage that the Evo can live in...

pmsl!!!

Just hate to see it getting filthy and only doing short journeys in it, watching the mileage creep up without really having any fun in it... (The roads I drive on to work are all following people with zero chances to overtake)
