who remembers
having a skateboard and getting a mate to tow you with a piece of rope whilst they are on ther bike. leaning over to turn and scrapping your knuckles on the floor or getting your fingers ran over by putting them to close and low to the front of the board
those child hood memories they crack me up |

I don't wish to seem old
or carefull But when I were a lad my dad used to get a piece of floorboard and screw an old pair of skates to the bottom to make a skateboard for us! Another thing he did, we were so poor he couldn't afford inner tubes for our bikes so he used to stuff the tyres with rags until they were rock hard :shock: Going back even further I remember him when I was 6 or seven (1964- 65) cutting tread into tyres with a stanley knife :shock: and making brake linings out of a leather belt. This was on a 100e ford sit up and beg. This is the gods truth as true as I'm sat here drinking clan morrisons dave |

I've just remembered the reg No of that ford ECB 623. bloody hell I bet it's worth a fortune today
I'll tell you sommat else that'll make you smile too!! We used to live in Blackburn, and holiday in Morecombe But to get us up there He'd put my brother on the pillion and I would sit in the fairing :shock: :shock: all the to Morecombe!! then he'd go back for my mum and the bags. now that's feckin poor matesdave |
