Drag strip, the fascination?????

OK guys, really struggling with this one now!!!!

I really CANNOT understand the point of this. I've seen countless bitching about it on "other" forums.

I've built this, it'll run such and such on the strip! So what??? does anyone really give a toss???? Not me, I'm more interested in does it go around corners quickly like an evo should do!

I've seen one "tuner" countless times, slag off another Tuner about strip times etc etc when the latter is actually now taking part in the D1GB Time Attack contest with his "strip" car!!! Now there's a Tuner who can build a high powered handling car!!!

Is it me or is the strip an American complete waste of time???? :???:

We all know the big American and Jap cars are geared for this pointless excersise, but is the evo..........really???
