Car Stereo?

Hi,

Can anyone here recommend a very nice but cheap car stereo that's second hand? Something that plays cd's not casette tapes?

Seriously though, was in my local audio shop yesterday, and they had really nice sony headunits (4x50W, 100+dB), for £100 !!!! How cheap is that !!! All I'm saying is that stereos are so cheap new these days ! :-)

And anyways........... who'd even have a cassette player these days then ???? (I have a mate with one, he's sellling it on, comes free with a betamax video !!)

I really wouldn't bother with a second hand one. I'd rather go cheaper than be dealing with a used one. Most things I don't mind second hand, just not that.

That's funny budman. I had a godd chuckle! My Dad had a vast collection of rock casette tapes. Talk about Led Zeppelin, Scorpion, and stuff like that. But we don't have a casette player now (sniff,sniff ).

Thats okay, he could make one himself ! All you need is two tiolet rolls, 1 washing up bottle, 15 pipe cleaners and some tissue paper . You will need to use copydex glue (you know, the stuff that stinks of fish and goes all gooey like bogies), BUT always get permission before using, don't want you turning out a solvent abuser later in life now do we ?!?

budman seems to be the jokster of the site. That is a fairly nice deal for that sony you mentioned though. Keep the cheap stuff coming, sometimes 2nd hand is better, as you already know (if the blok is honest) if its broken or not!
