evo 6 engine cut out

Have just changed fro a 911 to an evo6 love the car would kill the Porsche, however I have a problem picked the car up last night and gave it some s**t , but when I really pressed hard the engine suddenly cut out (felt like it was fuel cut out) and the whole car jolted, it then was imediately ok . The car is immaculate but has not been driven hard, could it have anything to do with the cold weather??
Please help I dont want to wreck the engine.
Tim

Have you got a boost gauge fitted?

Re: evo 6 engine cut out

There are no mods at all and I do not have a guage fitted, the car has been very well looked after but has been driven carefully, I asked the bloke who had the car before me but he said he never really thrashed it.
How easy is it to fit guage

Hello and welcome

Also worth checking the spark plugs , as on my old 6 I thought I was getting fuel cuts , but turned out that a couple of the plugs had gone.

Definately sounds like fuel cut to me hun, Gets worse in the cold weather.

Would recomend you getting a boost gauge too and if you want to control the fuel cut, invest in a boost controller too, so you can adjust the boost enough to prevent it fuel cutting
