Hi and evo do's and dont's

Im looking at buying an EVO IV at the mo, what major things should i be on the look out for - what are the cars problems if any and how bad can they be?

Also once i find "the one", what would your suggestions be for a start on modifications, i know there are lots out there, but what is the most popular mod, be it cosmetic or performance???

cheers all

Hi there and to the site, i bought my evo IV GSR about 3 months ago now, main things i would look for and check is the clucth, the gear box, and check how the car runs with the existing dump valve on it weather it stalls with the current one.

If you download the buyers guide file below then this will answer most of your questions:

I started modding my car 1st with exterior mods and now im moving onto the engine part of things, hopefully running 1.3 bar 18 psi in a few weeks , i took my time and got used to the car and its capabilities and ironed out any minor faults, and researched as much information etc about the car as possible before i started doing anything, main thing i would say is take your time and dont rush into anything and you'll be happy with what you have.

Chris

Hi Kev and to the forum

My advise is to keep your eyes open there are loads of evo's for sale out there at the moment and some very nice ones at great prices, as for mods when you have the car I would look it getting airflow sorted first of all exhaust, air filter etc.

Have a read of the buyers guide also loads of info for buying an evo

My only advice is don't buy one.

Unless you want the most fun possible on four wheels.

:muhaha: :muhaha: :muhaha: :muhaha:

Take your time finding the right one, and don't worry about asking any questions.
:thumbsup!:
