Hello all

Hello people

After a year of owning my 94 WRX which has been fun I've realised it's time to move on to something a bit more focused and tunable.

I'm going to be looking out for an evo IV towards the end of the summer and I can't wait to become an owner...also I have Norris designs under 10 miles down the road so lets just say I'd like to do a bit of tinkering with it!

I have read the buyers guide which is superb but if any of you owners have any tips/sdvice on the IV/V car then that would be great

Speak to you soon

Neil

Hello and

I think the best advice is to look round and be careful, there are normally cars around for sale on the forums, and they're generally well cared for. It's worth waiting for the right one, particularly with the earlier evos.

Feel free to ask round here, we'll give all the help we can and you can always stop by at a meeting.

Thanks for the friendly replies

I've owned my scoob for over a year and have learnt a lot of technical stuff which is what I enjoy a lot about owning high performance cars.

I understand that the evo, along with most turbocharged cars may have been given some stick in the past so I've got to be careful and get one with a good service record etc.

What about the internals on evo IVs and Vs....are they forged or cast?

Just interested in this because it's one of the main limitations of my WRX and I'd like to know what is involved in making a good 300-350bhp car which is reliable
