Hey!

Hey guys!
My name is David
I'm 15 years old
and I am in LOVE with evos.
they are amazing cars.
both amazing looking
and amazing to drive.

I have talked to my parents, and they feel I am responsible enough to get one.
they really trust that I won't street race and do all those bad things (because I won't)

Before you guys go on and say how I'm going to die and speed and all that stuff.
just think that there are a few amount of actual smart and responsible teenagers out there.

I have driven an evo, srt-4, wrx, acura integra, and many many many other sports cars.
I think that the evo outdoes all of them.

I would like to modify my evo when I get it, but I want to drive it around for a year or so
so I can get the feeling and handling of the car just right.

I have done 1-2 autucross events and I liked those.

The mods I want to do to the car when I get it are going to be exterior and interior and engine dress ups.
ya know, to make it my own.

I'm glad to be part of this forum with tons of other evo enthusiasts like myself.

Thanks!

_-David-_

Welcome to the forums David..

Now I hate to sound like a parent, or some annoying friend, but let me just warn you that words are just, as they are: Words

My point? When you have your three best friends of all time, and your most hated enemies next to you and they ALL want to drag race, It gets unbelievably tempting.

And if you take that risk, and don't know you will say no for sure, or may just screw up. You can easily end up like this couple of kids i heard about a few weeks back. Drove with a Nitro in the fuel line, ran out of the control STRAIGHT into a tree. No survivors, all young teens just trying to have some fun.

"Do-so" is more important than "say-so." -Pete Seeger

You can claim a lot, and then do the total opposite. Not trying to frighten you or be harsh, just always be positive before being naive

P.S. Good luck with the modding, get good security, or else you'll find it gone one day.

I appreciate you like, looking out for me and telling me that.
But the thing is.
1.all my friends have slow cars so racing them would be pointless.
2.I'm homeschooled so I don't even know that many people with nice cars so if someone does wanna race me...I don't care because I don't care about losing to someone I don't know.
3. I'm actually really different than a normal teenager in the sense that I know what not to do.
I don't try things for the hell of it you know?
If I want to go fast in my car, I'll find a way to get on the track and go there.
I'm not gonna lie, I DO get that awesome rush when you are going 100 MPH
but it's not something I can't live without.

I know I know these are just words.
but I have driven cars as fast as the evo (including an evo) and I do admit the urge to take that turn at 50mph or to take this straightaway at 100mph certainly did come up. but I fought it and thought of the consequences and slowed down.

So just pretend that when you are talking to me...I'm not really a stupid teenager, but a mature person that knows when enough is enough.
