I had better say hello and introduce myself

Hi all

Just thought I would join you lot as I have heard you are a good bunch 8)

I have got an Evo 9 FQ300 with some basic mods with some major ones soon to come.

I have had a couple of Evos now - first one was a 6 RS and now I have the 9 FQ - bought the 6 second hand back in 2003 - I think - then thought - well while I have got the chance - go for the 9 and buy it new which I did in 2005 - well as they say - you can live in your car but you can't drive your house

My 6 was just mildy modded - with about 350 bhp which was just a reflash, exhaust, induction kit and fuel pump - I didn't need to uprate the running gear as the brakes and susspension handled those mods very well being an RS.

My 9 in it's current state - the list is quite long sorry about that folks

Exhaust - Magnex full 3" system with 4" rolled edge back box.

Fuel pump - Uprated 255 lph Warlbro - I think that is the right spelling.

Induction kit - Very big K&N filter that looks more like a lamp shade than an air filter

ECU - Autronics SM4 full PnP version with switchable Anti Lag and permanent Launch Control.

Dump Valve - Forge Recirc one - sound more like a VTA one due to massive K&N filter.

MAF removed due to Autronics using MAP sensor.

Fuel pressure regulator fitted to lower injector duty cycle.

That is about all the engine and power mods I can think of for now

Styling and Handling

18" Ultralite A Techs in Bronze which suite the black car very well.

Full Ohlins susspension.

6 pot Alcon Calipers and matching Alcon discs - they are a bit too strong if too hard on the brake pedal - they bring in the ABS and the G sensor even in the dry if I am trying hard enough

I can't think of any more at the moment but as it is it is running about 400/380 AFW with 1.6 bar of boost.

But soon it will be running over 650 AFW with 2.5 bar of boost - just in time for the bad weather

Hope that hasn't sent you lot off to sleep :muhaha:

Cheers Spud

I am not the best photographer in the world so no funny comments please

Anyway here they are - it is still early days in the build at the moment.

Second time lucky on the above link

I found it is best viewed in slide show option and I think you can alter how long each picture stays up for if you need to - I hate computers BTW
