Weight

Just an odd thought. Jockeys watch their weight, to fit into certain categories and to go faster. Is weight, or rather low weight, an advantage to rally car drivers? Is there an appreciable difference in speed between heavy and light drivers?

Theres a balance between the weight of the car and the driver when it comes between the performance of the car. Although most cars have a enough weight in them already from the engine and chassy alone to give good road holding at speed. The lighter the car the more the stablility decreases. Its a catch 22 scenerio. Hope this helps a little this is my understanding dont quote me on it though.

Hey Joshua, that is a very good thing to know. Thanks for both the original question and the answer, as this was something I had been wondering about myself. Just did not get here to ask it first.
