Mmmm, nice clean engine. :-)
My story's easy really. :-) (Jeez, if not a bit long winded, sorry!!!!) My old man used to spend every weekend (virtually) servicing for a couple of privateer rally drivers, many moons ago. (Part of the reason hes now divorced. As any young lad would, I tagged along when I could. One weekend we were in Wales, next in Scotland but the ultimate, back in the day, was the Lombard RAC, Oh yes!! (Although he preffered the Bastos.... in Belgium..... I think, :???: ) I grew up around cars with someone who knows everything about cars and he used to always say, "when your old enough, pay some other daft $£%& to look after your rally cars for you, don't do it yourself." I think I took his advice a little toooooo seriously though, I LURV motorcars but don't know that much about them TBH, certainly wouldn't know where to start modding like some of the guys on here with a wealth of knowledge. I could never afford to rally so went for the next best thing. Ended up in a decentish job and nearly took the Subaru plunge, from the McCrae / Burns influence probably, but a swift clip round the head later and some sound advice burning my ears.............. it was "suggested" I get an Evo. What had I been thinking especially with Tommi flying the Mitsi flag!?!?  I always assumed that the Subaru's were the cheaper option as you saw so many of them and the Evo's would obviously cost poo-loads more. How wrong can you be!!! Some of the the best advice I ever had it turns out. Sorted a track day at Oulton were I drove both the Scoob and the Evo and fell in love with the latter. :muhaha: :muhaha: Shopped around for about 6-12 months for the right car, which would have been a VI initially, but the VII grew on me something rotten. After a few months, and a few damp-pant shopping weekends later, I walked into a showroom, saw a Black RS2 VII and that was that. I had to have it. Paid A LOT more than I wanted too but it was virtually brand new. In fact there was a Black VIII there as well - not that much more but I just didn't like the front end + it was much bigger mileage. Just hope I can keep it when me and the missus get a house. Probably got a seller for it if I do have to flog it, I just pray it doesn't come to that but if it does I'll just go knockin round my old mans and ask for the keys. Bleedin 'ell I've rabbited on enough but thats were my love for these warmachines comes from. :uzi: :flame1: Why buy a Squire when you could buy Fender. Why buy a Scoob when you could buy Mitsi. Aidy :-)

I am one of these people who gets what I want :muhaha: I said to Trina years ago I want one of them and it was a evo 1 driving around Wrexham. I wouldnt have one outside our old house due to parking on the side on the road  . after a year of living in our current house we decided it was time for a new car and the fact the kids were old enough not to wreck the seats with crap. We bought a really nice white 2 and within 3 hours sadly it was on a trailer going back to the previous owner with the big end gone  . Boxing day with 5500 sat at home cash we found our black one (didnt pay 5500 )and have had it for 3 and a half years now. We would never change it for the world until an offer came up the beginning of this week that we couldnt refuse and have just bought another early evo 8) Pics will be posted up later now comes the hard part of selling the 1
