Steering wheel off

I need to change my indicator, wiper stalks and switches as i have a problem with the wipers not switching off on my evo 6 gsr. I beleive you need to take the steering wheel off. Does any one know how to do this? I dont want to mess up and have the air bag blow up in my face!!
