Servicing etc in the south

Evenin All,

I down in the south (Bournemouth) and my car (EVO VI TME) is on the road (finally) next week.

I wish to start up an English service history book, so I'll be lookin to firstly submit the car for a routine service and begin stamping a service book. Shortly after this I'll be wanting to have a cam-belt change.

A while after this I want to change the brakes. I'd like to fit drilled/vented discs and new pads. (I'd also like to change the slightly 'varnish flaking' brembo calipers too, perhaps 6 pots are available ??)

I know that all you traders etc are EVO experts, which is exactly the type of people I'd like to take the car to.

So, my question is, who is the nearest garage to me that fits the bill ?? (Bearing in mind that I'm talking a long term relationship here), once I get the car on the books and start a service book up, I'd like to think I can take my car to those people every time, thoughout my ownership of the car.

I've had a quote for £120 + vat for routine service, and £175 + vat for cam-belt change, but the location was a bit far away. Is this a reasonable quote ?

Can anyone advise me how much it would cost to change the discs and pads, and how much to fit 6-pot brembo's ?

I apologies for the lengthy letter, and look forward to any assistance anyone can offer me

Thankyou one and all. 8)

Hi Bazza mate,

To be honest, I can't find the web-site details on my pc anymore, all I have is the e-mail I sent to them and their reply mail with the attached quotes.

I have just e-mailed tham again, asking for company details and address etc. I will post these as soon as I get them. I do recall the company was a fair drive away, but thats all I can remember ops:

The contact e-mail was 'waynesis@aol.com'

I think they were ralliart approved servicing, if my memory serves me. (I can forward you the e-mail if necessary, though it doesn't give anymore info away ?)

So there we have it.

Wayne at AMS has given me what appears to be very competitive quotes, and is an EVO expert who does a good job. 8)

As Dral says, its a damn long drive for me, so thus the question, can I get this sort of service at the same sort of price down here in the south ???

i.e - BTT (does that mean Back to Top ??, takes me ages to understand these shortened comments - ha ha LMAO )

IMHO took me AGES to work out !

Hmmmmm... Triton ? I've got a flyer from there, my mate has visited them. Have you had good dealings with them, as far as EVO maintenance goes ?

I was really looking for more specialized EVO experts/enthusiasts ?

Perhaps I'm being too picky ?

I know Trition deal in imports, servicing, parts, selling etc. And they are multi-vehicle, not just EVO's.

Isn't there anyone like Wayne around these ere parts ? :???:

Rich (RG Motorsport) is down south somewhere, he's got a great reputation too.

He away on holiday at the moment, but i'm sure he'll be happy to help when he's back.
