Front break pad change evo 1? Easy do it youself job?

Now I've done this once before on a starlet gt turbo and I needed a special tool to screw the pistons in enough to fit the pads but I never had this tool so I had to push down with my thumb and srcew it with the other hand, man it was a pain in the fingers

. Is it the same for the evo 1?
