What is this part please?
Plastic canister located under the brake master cylinder bearing the word "PURGE" on my Evo II. There seems to be a couple of pipes to it, a small diaphram attached to it and one pipe going back to the intake elbow.
I have a lot of oily crap getting into my intake pipe which seems to be coming from here Any ideas? Sorry for the numpty question Cheers Martin

Sounds like the carbon cannister to me, not to sure where it's located on the early evos but that's what it sounds like. If it is it's somat to do with fuel tank gasses.

Cheers Steve. Did a bit of research last night and im sure thats what it is. I cant figure out why its spewing crap into my intake pipe though :???
I did notice that later Evos have an inline filter before the intake so might just fit one of those 
|
