evo IV

hey all. my mate thinking of getting and evoIV he wants to get it to about 400bhp now how is this done. fueling, exaust and boost will this get anywhere near or will he have to go forged? and what is the a decent wheel size to put on this he was thinking 17" but what width and trye size?
what does he have to look out for on the IVs do theis cars have crank worp or problems with the ayc etc...
he want to spend about 6-7k on one this should get him a minter?

I think 7-8 k with lowish miles , and you will then get a minter !

400 bhp is not really possible unless you go to a forged engine

I think the max you will see is 370 bhp with basic mods

You won't get the 400 bhp out of the standard spec engine :shock:

Have a look at the buyers guide and get him to read it, will help him decide and i'm sure it'll answer most of his questions

be probs cheaper in the long run to get a 5/6 model car with a better starting point of turbo/injectors/etc...............

either that or look for a 4 with en engine problem with a view on building a better spec engine from the start
