best oil for IV

Although ive searched on here im still not sure! I used mobil one motorsport fully synthetic at the last service and apart from costing me £70 odd quid as mobil cant find it in there hearts to do a 5 litre bottle, im wondering what else i could use as im due an oil change again. Ive heard 'millers' mentioned and valvoline was offered where i got the mobil one from. The mobil one caused instant clatter which wasnt there before, although it comes and goes now, but the 'oil' (if you can call it that!) that came out from previous owner was more like what they use to re-tarmac the M1 than somthing you would put in an engine......... Im happy to use mobil one again as its somthing ive used in a few cars before and had no worries with it, just wanted some experienced views on the matter

"best" depends on mods and how/what you use your car for..............but generally Motul or Millers will give you exactly what you need in their range - 5w40, 10w40, etc..............

look in the "trader" forum for a slightly cheaper deal than your mobil!! :-)
