Servicing question....

Got the service interval coming up on my tme (coming upto 40,000 miles)
Now what i need to know is what needs to be done on a 40,000 mile service?
Is this the big one (all belts etc) or isnt it?

Everyone i've spoken to from cpp to mitsi dealers & a couple of other evo service places have said different things (Mitsi said the belts dont need to be replaced until 58,000)!!

Other's have said they need doing at 45,000 & others have said 40,000!!

HELP..........Im Confused.com :???:

(i had the plugs changed in the last service 35,500).

Thanks.

i was recommended i had my belts done at 45000 miles too so i had them done 58000 seems a bit much for me i would rather have them done and have peace of mind after all you dont want your cam belt going

The service schedule states 45,000 mile or 5 years/60 months whatever comes first

But if you have done 40,000 I would get them done TBH hun

major service or risk a major rebuild m8 its up to you.i personally would not trust a timing belt to 58,000 miles
ours will be changed every 40,000 miles.
neil

I know mate, i was just surprised that Mitsi said 58,000 miles.
I'll get everything done on this service & get my oil temp & fuel; pressure guages fitted too at the same time :-)
