could be an air leak after the MAF, or the MAF not liking the Air filter for some reason. if that is the case you might need an EIDS

I had an idle problem ages ago that was the MAF but that just kept shutting down the engine at when the throttle was closed, might try that.

u means u try to resetting ur ecu or ur safc ii?
if u want to resetting ur safc ii, u only need to restore default setting...
...and it's will restore all data in safc ii to factory specs...

i have two safc settings, one data file has no correction and the other one with, the car idles funny on both hence its not an safc problem.

i want to reset the factory ecu as i was told by my mech that may help the car correct to the new air filter...well its free so perhaps worth a try!!

that is good advice go for the free stuff first. :muhaha:

yes the MAF is the pipe with a plug on it between the air filter and the turbo housing. is it the standard one?
