red top batteries

a mate of mine has suggested running a racing red top battery

http://www.merlinmotorsport.com/prod...roducts_id=472

a) because they take up less space
b) dry cell
c) easily relocatable

now im tempted by this but am wondering how well these batteries fair with the current drawn from stereo equipment as well as other electronics? would this drain them immensely and what negative effects would this have on the car and the other systems!?

any insights would be of great help

thanks

ian
