Not sure if thats what its called, but its the black canister behind the air filter. what does it do?
Only asking cos my mates car went to norris for upgrades and that was removed. (as was the battery to the boot and the secondary air system and now his bay looks empty :???: )

its basically for taking the 'breathed' pressure from the fuel tank and introducing it back into the intake manifold. it can be bypassed, but you must make sure the 1 way valve is still in place.

So am i right in saying that vapour is going to be flammable(ish) and without the one way valve it could flash back to the tank? does the canistor absorb the vapour beforer re-introducing it to the intake?

i'm not 100% on what it does but yes i believe it removes fuel from the vapor like a catch tank for oil. the one way vale is to stop pressure being pushed back into the tank
