Decal removal

Whoever had the car before me got a little bit carried away with the old decals, they are on both plastic and metal. Want to take some of them off but am a bit worried about taking the paint at the same time is this likely to happen and are there any tricks that you educated people know of that will help get them off with the minimum of damage to paintwork. Was going to use t cut after they come off is this the best stuff to use??

Hot water is the best method to get them off with, then use glue/tar remover to remove the excess adhesive

Don't forget all the elbow grease you need.

Then give it a good clean and polish, it will be like having a new car

Neil has no hair and I sent him to the superrmarket for shampoo

On a serious note Neil used the heat gun on a low heat on ours, they came off quite easily.

It's just getting rid of the glue which takes the time.

If you actually have badges similar to the 'Evolution' badge on the back of the Evo, use a hair dryer and dental floss.

Works an absolute treat, to get rid of the adhesive use soap and water. Or spit to break it down.

Hair dryer is not a good idea on vinyl though, it can actually make them stick more if they are heated too much :???:

Hot water is best
