Dash Lighting..something i dont understand....

Ok my dials glow red but the rest of the dash etc glows green

Why didnt Mitsi make it all one colour?? Just seems a strange thing to do!

Someone told me the other day my dash looks like one from an plane as it has different colours and loads of things are lit, wasnt sure if I should have taken that as a compliment lol.

Is it possible to get ALL of it to glow Red?

It is possible, but it's a horrible job love.

You have to get the clusters out and change the bulbs

It is quite easy to take the dashboard out on the V would of thought the IV was similar.

At the top of cowling is a screw undo that and the cowling will slide out in theory (takes a bit to wriggle it throught the steering wheel)

remove the screw from each corner of the dash board and it should just pull out (again the fight with the steering wheel will follow)

Changing the green in the console would be hard work, but the dials are fairly easy. The bulbs are clear (in the VII anyway, hopefully your IV is the same), the colour is in the plastic speedo cards, you need to get some new ones of these. There are normally quite few people selling them on e-bay, but i can't see any at the moment, these people seem to make some though...
