Dont know what the e3 dash looks like , but in the e6 it was just a case of taking the ashtray out and pulling/prizing the whole surround out .
There were no screws or anything to stop this. |

Hi All, thanks for the help, indeed all it needed was a quick jerk
So onto the next question ( not again I hear you all groan ) what is the best way of connecting a new head unit to the loom? is it a cut and splice job or are there some autolead adaptors to convert it to an ISO connection? Cheers again

I went to halfrauds , and they were able to supply me with a loom thing for my e6 .
Just plugged it in and the tunes were pumping! Halfrauds will have to order it in off the company they use , but alot easier that cutting wires all over the shop. Paul. |

I have got my old one here , which you could have , but I doubt very much if it will fit the e3.
Can take a pic of it if ya want to check it against your bit. |

Ok , its not very clear cos my camera dont like close up shots.
But as you look at it inside on the bottom rows it has 6 metal pins , and on the top row it has 6 pins but with a gap 2nd in from the middle . Like this II I I II But its the shape of the thing that may be the problem. Cheers Paul. |
