Strange noise?!?!?

Hi guys,

Just recently I have been hearing a very funny noise coming from the front end of my 3.

Whenever I go over a speed bump or lump in the road a ppssshh noise comes from the front of my car. Its sounds like my dump valve is letting off but don't think its that?!?!

Anyone got any ideas? Sounds like air is being released from somewhere??

Cheers

Benny

I thought about that?

I was hit by an uninsured portugese idiot about 4 weeks ago and have now got car back on road!! Its coming from the side he hit!!

The thing is I have Tein Coilovers so this could be a nasty problem!!

How can I tell if its the shocker?

Have a mate bounce up and down on the sill, whilst you have a listen.

Or, (clutching at straws here), adjust the damping and see if the sound changes any :???:

If there's no physical damage after the bump, you could always try warranty, depending on how old they are.

Or, i think they can be overhauled, but you'll be shockerless for a while!

Best bet is speak to Tein imho. They are a reputable company, so they shouldn't arse you about

Best of luck, hope it's not to serious and it does turn out to be something simple

Coz i've always been a nosy git :muhaha:

Have a look here, they are authorised tein dealers. They might be able to point you in the right direction.

And there's one near you

http://www.tein.co.uk/dealer_list/fdindex.html

Gotta be worth a try :???:
