Turbosmart BOV's

Hi all im new here and new to evo ownership (had my car just over 1 week).

Anyway I have decided that I need some noise under the bonnet, so I want a blow off valve.

The only 1 I have had before was a turbosmart supersonic bov which was fitted on my old subaru sti, and I loved the sound it made.

So im looking at getting 1 of these for my evo 6

However I have read that some bov's cause problems on the evo's,

So does anyone know if the supersonic, or megasonic bov from turbosmart will be ok on the evo 6 ? or should I go for there Evo specific model which is a dual port bov ???

Any help appriciated.

Also while im here, I was thinking of getting an induction kit, but I have seen that blitz do an induction cover for the std airbox, which is basicly a panel filter and some mesh that covers the filter, and you just remove the part of the airbox closest to the inner wing, again anyone know if these are worth bothering with ? and will it give induction roar like a propper induction kit would ??

Thanks in advance.

Hi and to evo net

The turbosmart bov is a good bit of kit and it does work well on the evos.Personally i would recomend the HKS SSQV,its what we use on all of our cars.
With regards to the induction,i would say either replace the panel filter for an uprated one, either HKS,ARC or ITG.Or get a full induction system with a hard pipe,it all depends on where you would like to go.
If you have any questions or would like any advice, just give us a call.

Enjoy your stay

Lloyd

I like the sound of the turbosmart bov tho, it's the only 1 I have ever owned before so I know I like it

Had plenty of normal dump valves but nothing sounded as good as the turbosmart, which was very loud.

Hi there mate the turbosmart BOV works fine on the evo I have no problems at all with mine.

In fact I used the same bov that I had on my Subaru on my evo they are very easy to change over.

Any problem or questions feel free to drop me a PM :-)

Matt
