clutch judder...........but not........

hi ya guys and gals,

need your help again ops:

on our 4 RS, you get some massive vibes coming though the transmission on take up of drive, ie. 1st gear and pull away !

I thought the clutch was shagged (again) but its only done less than 1k, so....1st gear.... 1.5k slowly bring the clutch up and VIBRATIONS !!!!!! through everything, am sure you can feel the prop trying to escape...

but, if you pull the hand brake on, slip it ( i know...i know....) it vibrates then...just slips a little, like it should....but does not vibrate any more....so am a bit confused ??

gearbox mounts.......... they all 'look ' ok ..........

any ideas before i book it in with Rich at Rg ? (have to say many thanks for the work he's done on the car so far top quality sevice for good wedge !!

would the mounts cause severe vibes ?

It sounds like you 'could' have a high spot on the clutch.

Try a launch and see if it gets any better.

Mine had it when i bought the car. And it worked for me, stinks a bit though :muhaha:

But only try once, no point killin it if it's something else
