Does the AYC system make a grinding noise?

Hi guys, I've had my evo 4 for about 2 months and when I go around low speed, sharp corners there is a rough, grinding noise coming from the back. When the import garage checked it out they said that it was the AYC and that a previous customer had bled his evo 6 AYC system several times but the noise didn't disappear. The mechanics said that this noise is normal and nothing can be done.

Is this true?

Any advice welcome,

Cheers,

Rob (Coley)

Sounds like your ayc needs oil mate. You will have to get it done at a dealer as they have to plug in the MUT to charge the ayc with the oil.

Sadly, it can sometimes sound a bit rough even after an oil change, very slow corners (turning into junctions) can sound bad.

Hi Tina,

I'm based in the North East, in a town called Redcar, about 10 miles away from Middlesbrough. We have a great beach full of smelly, rotten dead things covered in flies! The sky is lovely with brown clouds of poisonous gases coming from ICI/corus!

It's great, you should call in if you go to Whitby, it's not far off.
