Actuator seized!!

Was on my way to Micks house to stay over the night before Snetterton (cheers Mick ) and the car was boosting fine but half way on my journey i boosted out of a roundabout and she felt fooking quick!! and i really do mean quick   so i slowed down and boosted again while watching the boost gauge and fook me! my gauge reads a max of 20psi and i bounced off the limit. Decided to check the boost controlled and all was set at 1 bar but when i checked what i boosted up to it read 1.6   Panic set in and started driving it slow and off boost. Took it to Shawn Taylors workshop (very impressed) with Mick and confermed that the actuator is stuck solid
So have been driving slow and off boost because as soon as it does come on boost the needle on the gauge whips around soooo fast. Glad i have the car running rich otherwise i could have been by by engine.

Anyone know where i can get a new actuator please

Glad you got home OK mate

Shawn should be able to source you an actuator if you give him a ring. His contact details are on http://www.st-racing.com.

Thought you were going to keep the actuator the way it was and go for forged internals. Not plucked up the courage to ask Bec yet?

Yer i know got a full service done and because im first english owner i had to get everything done. Didnt really have to do the pulley but it would have gone eventually as it does on all early evo's. It was starting to split. Sorted the steam one out and now this boost problem. All the probs im getting are common to all evo's and expact it anyway as i well know from my old evo 1. Just didnt expect it all to happen in the space of a couple of weeks
