I've got a big gap where the stereo should be ?

Hi All,

I've just received the port inspection photo's and the previous owner has removed the audio. The thing is, the gap the audio has left is twice the size of a normal stereo !!! :-?
(Unfortunately I can't post a photo, as my company e-mail is down) but I was wondering if there was a system (maybe an original) that would fit and plug straight back into this larger gap ?

Would like to return the car to its original glory (mind you, I would prefer pre-outs also for a small amp and speakers)

Any suggestions gratefully received

There are loads of double-din stereos available..

I have a single Kenwood CD player and an AVC-R boost controller in mine..

How about this?

Kenwood do a double DIN sized DVD unit with a built in 6.5'' screen (abt £800 of the net). Fills the slot nicely and doesn't have one of those stupid pop out screens either, so the dash still looks pretty standard. I was thinkin a one for my baby as the 8 has a double DIN and mines empty aswell
