security by engine tinkling ?

Hi All,

I'm STILL awaiting my red VI tme !! Grrrrr

Fitting a 'garage defender' to the bottom of the garage door (detached garage) and two hefty locks to each side at the top. Guess with all the dirty low-down scum out there, this may still not be enough to stop the choring b***ards !! :x

Can anyone advise me of a method of immobilising the car by removal of parts under the bonnet, as added security ? I know one of you peeps has mentioned removing a lead that stops the car idling ? :?:

Cheers, not long now !

hope you get the car soon mate, as for garage security I always believe more is less

If you put loads of heavy big padlocks on the garage door then anyone passing or being nosey will think "I wonder what hes trying to hide" no matter what you put on it though , garage doors are usually wafer thin and can be got through really easily

Personally I just make sure I'm not being followed home & never leave the car on the drive. I have a PIR sensor in the garage thats connected to my house alarm and thats about it apart from the usual alarm, immobilisor & disclock.

ne simple way would be to remove the main ignition fuse from the fuse box under the bonnet. if you pull this out, the car will do feck all, plus its not a normal fuse so unlikely a thief will have one handy. i dont think your alarm would work though....

or if you have more time, remove the coil packs....

disconnect the maf sensor just after the airbox and hide the connector under the airbox.

and if you try and start the car after it will not idle at all!!!!
