Rear screen heater, can it be fixed?

Can you get anything to fix the heater elements? Only 3 of mine work, and they're right in front of the spoiler, so I can't see diddly out of my rear view mirror!
I think the car had tinted windows before I had it, and when the film was removed, it damaged the elements.

Any ideas, or am I going to have to replace the screen? :-?

True mate. I wonder, can you get a rear screen replaced on the insurance without it affecting your ncb, same as for your windscreen? I may have a brick to hand, if so...
