i thought for the price it cant be too bad ?

Whats the standard boost for the EVO 1 and how much mroe could it safly take without damaging anything ?

With my supra there was an easy way to increase the boost a bit.. it was buy using some waster to widen the wastegate.. allow it to stay open that bit longer .. can you do a similar hign with the evo ?

I've got a brand new manual boost controller (Dawes Device?) that I bought from Arnside Motorsport, I haven't used it as I've gone for an electronic GReddy Profec one. It cost me £45 +p&p, you can have it for £25 delivered, if that's any use to you?

Nope, never took it out of it's bag tbh. I changed my mind, I wanted the flexibility of high and low boost settings. The decent manual ones work well, but don't offer the flexibility of an electronic controller.

Dave, I think (and I'm prepared to be told I'm wrong) that it's 1bar standard, and you can go to about 1.3bar without cuts. I now Bazza runs his VI at 1.25bar with no probs.

TM..

Fuel cut is around 1.3bar I think.. Its not down to boost pressure but airflow..

Run 1.2 Dave and you should have no probs with standard plugs

0.7 bar standard on Evo 1-3

Dawes Device are a fantastic boost controller.

Get a Gizzmo chip/1.2bar/decat and air filter and u will see an impressive differance

Might want to chuck in a walbro pump to.

all cheap easy work and will have about 300bhp with that lot and a big jump in torque

better off with an electric boost controller as when youve had enough fun just turn it down/off and go back to standard setting to save turbo, but if you cant afford one then manual it is!
gizzmo chip etc is bob on
i run 1.5bar normal 1.7bar on high and 2.0bar on manual with hks evc!
pay around £100 for hks s/h
