Going Flat out??

well now im wondering what your opinions are on high revs for sustained period of time.
ie. top speed run in 5th approaching the redline
is it very bad for the engine??even if you dont go into the redline in 5th?

Could damage the fuel gauge mate as it will be dropping to fast

but its not detrimental to the engine to be over 5000rpm for say 20 sec or so?

It's no good asking me mate I never go above 4000rpm in any gear at any time :shock:

As long as you don't stay past 7k for long, you should be fine. (Unless plod spots you)
