4 Wheel Drive Traction
Just wondering if I have an exceptionally quick car or if somethings wrong.
basically from a slight rolling start (as not to destroy the clutch) if I floor the loud pedal I'm getting loads of four wheel spin and this occasionally happens when I've just changed into 2nd aswell if I'm being a little bit too ambitious, is this normal ? The car is a VII and running at around 1.3 bar The tyres are virtually brand new (yoko A046 all round) Are these tyres known for lack of grip or is something wrong with AYC,traction control (or whatever these things have) I haven't had the car on rollers yet ,so I dont know the BHP figures Phil |

Phil,
My VI running 1.25 bar on full throttle from a rolling start only spins if I am on loose gravel or wet/icy tarmac.. I run Goodyear Eagle F1's all round.. Not sure if the AYC can cause lack of grip like this as there are a number of elements that the AYC ECU computes to decide the best course of action: - Throttle position - RPM - Steering position - Braking - Speed |

I would think your tyres are the main factor, i've not tried AO-46s but i seems to remember they got some negative comments for their damp/wet ability (they are great dry tyre, more suited to the jap climate).
My 7 had some fulda extremes on when bought it, and they slipped a bit too. Just be careful in the wet.
