Boost controller / Walbro pump question.

I've had a Ralliart ecu in my 7 in anticipation of a boost upgrade for a while now. I now have a GReddy Profec B Spec II boost controller waiting to go in.
Firstly, having looked at the instructions to the controller, and not wanting to blow the engine/set the car on fire/just make a mess, I've realised I'm not going to be fitting it... So, how much is it going to cost me to get this fitted? And who should I use? I'm near to Leicester, but quite willing to travel a bit to get a good (value) job done.
Secondly, I plan to run the boost at 1.2bar (low setting) and 1.4bar (high), so is it necessary to uprate the pump? Wayne at AMS told me a while ago my stock 7 pump will be up to it, so I'm tempted not to mess. Is anyone running higher boost on a 7 with the standard pump? (Dral?)
I know the Walbro pump is cheap, at <£100, and fitting is fairly cheap also, but having done a search on the 'net tonight, it seems that tuners in the US have had failures of these pumps. Also, would the fitting of a 255lph pump necessitate fitting an uprated regulator too? Some say yes, others say no. Hence my temptation to leave well alone...
My mods at the moment are RA ecu, Magnex De-cat, Fujitsubo RM01A exhaust, HKS panel filter & Denso IW24 plugs. At our RR day at Well Lane, I was getting 318bhp, but crap torque of under 280Ib/ft which isn't enough...

Ta.

Please post replies, as we need more technical content on here...

First off the low torque figure could be wheel slip on the rollers ...?

The pump on the 7 can be done like the the gtir with the tank staying on the car and just done through the back seats I think ....?so less than an hour to do your self . well there abouts

Pump on the 7 is fine at 1.4 bar but you might as well get the boost up to 1.575 peak and get it flying so get the 255lt in

New year and all ...............you need a change

your pump should be fine, but as you are wary in your own mind about it then why not change it just to be on the safe side.

for boost controller, expect to pay a couple of hours labour plus a little for setting up on the road.

I'm still using my standard pump at 1.4 bar, but a walbro and regulator are on my list, although it's more to prepare for a programmable ECU than for my current mods.

I'm not too worried about the US failures either, loads of people over here have used the walbro with no problems.

Wayne fitted my SBC id, and did a great job, really tidy and with his usual care, i'm sure Nick at NR would be do a good job too though.

You could be right there chap, we had trouble slipping early on, we could only get it to hold 1.1bar (whereas I get 1.3 on the road), and readings of under 300bhp. Torque peaked at 5k revs also, which is odd. We got the best figures when mine and Bazza's fat arses were sat in the boot...
Oddly, other people with more powerful engines got expected figures with no slip though...
