Hi i recently had to make this decision myself, 4 or 5.
I choose 5 in the end because its a newer car, and has the brembo brakes. Also its rumored the 5s are fast then the 4s, and they look way nicer!!
Costs me 75 New Zealand Dollars to fill my tank, wich is around 60 USD i think. Kinda bad comparrison though since petrol prices will be differ in differnt countrys... But i go through about 1.5 tanks of gas per week... i drive it fast tho :/
Hope this helps

Just make sure to insure it as a weekend driver. Get a beater car as a primary. Saves big money.

dont say that evo 5 is more faster than evo 4 mate remember they have the same engine 4g63 it depends how are you going to tuned it my evo 4 at the moment runs 300 BHP and if yours are standard then you have no chance. ill agree wth you when it comes to look of course its evo 5 its much more upgraded in exterior specially the body kit but still they are all evo's. all created to look good. i can upgrade my brakes to brembo aswell theres nothing impossible man if you have a right budget.

if you have the budget you might as well go for a E6,it depends how good condition the 4 you are looking at is in,if it is in poor condition the cost to get it to a tidy level could be costly, not sure where your from, but i would try to get it looked at by someone who knows about the engine which will be the main factor and if you have the choice between a tidy 4 and a poor 5 you would go for the 4 eveytime, get it check for crankwalk to matey, there are so many issues you need to check before you buy,a bit of a step from the starlet ?also get your insurance sorted first group 20 not cheap at 21.good luck anyway.

when i bought mine, I had the choice of a V or a VI and I got the V because it looks better IMO. It did not warrant the extra money to not have forged pistons
