I buy a lot of car parts from off eBay. Usually that where I can find some really cool, off-the-wall stuff. As with everything on eBay, especially if the price is significant, checking the vendor's feedback rating, is very important. If the price is relatively small, I'm more likely to give a new user a chance.

hmmm, makes me think can you consider taking the engine of a durango, the wheels of a EVO, the body of a porche, and the headlights of a roll-royce

I have never personally done this, but know of a person who bought a car from ebay. There was stipulations that they could come and check it out and if not satisfied they would not be obligated to purchase the car even if they are the winning bidder.
