DIY

Are there a lot of do it yourselfer's here? I have always wanted to be able to work on my own cars but have never really had anyone to show me how. Just wondering how many here can do the work themselves.

I do some work on my own, but I also know when I cannot complete something and need the help of another person. I will generally stay away from shops as they seem to charge way too much unless you have a friend in one then it is ok.

I do what I can myself. That includes the simple things such as oil changes, dents and paint, dealing with rust. Anything that is simple and not specific to this car and not related to the computer components of the car I will normally attempt. Otherwise I bring in the big guns.

I'm not a huge DIY type of guy but I can more than handle myself. I can take most things apart but it's putting them back together that I can't be bothered with. So unless it's absolutely necessary, I just have it done for me. That's why I work so hard.

I dont trust most people with my car so try to do everything myself. It does help having father who's a 35 year grease monkey and has 4 poster ramps in his workshop ;-)
