Removing HKS dump valve

Hi

My insurance company will not insure my car with a dump valve.... does anyone know how work
is involved in replacing it..... also what will I replace it? ( A standard valve???)

It's a piece of pi$$ to replace matey

You'll have a blank in the return hose, and the HKS will have a vacuumn pipe and the intake pipe attatched.

3 Jubilee clips, nice and simple :muhaha:

with elephant
they are giving me real trouble
they want a letter from a garage sayin the car has no mods!!!
And all i have is a dump valve and induction kit!!

Its for an Evo 5

thats a crock off sh1t :shock: :shock:

it has 1 fitted as standard ffs

pah wont insure you if you have bov fitted

insurance companies like elepahant/tescos/churchill and the like aint got a fookin (pardon the pun) scooby wot they is on about

try giving kieth micheals a call off here (they is the residant insurance guru's fir evo.net ) see how you get on

yes tried them 995 they said (im 27 3 yrs no claims with 3 points in 2004)

But i want to see my policy through with elephant i have another 5 months left to take me to 4 yrs no claims and plus they only want another 300 quid on my premium

yes we all know y we put on an after market 1 (keep those likkle (or large depending who you are :shock: ) tubbies of ours sppoling) but surely it dont make a difference if its vta or re-circ too an insurance company

Im agree with you Kenny mate. A dump valve is a dump valve full stop. Re-circ or vta are both dump valves so cant understand the problem. Ok i can agree for example an hks ssqv vta or forge recirc is a modification of sorts but really is there much difference ffs! Mind you from the view of the insurance company they see it totally different. For example, a blitz nur spec and hks muffler are both types of exhaust but simply are not std. Anything thats not standard is a modification according to them Its a shame you cant take your bussiness somewhere else but understand that with only a few months left to go before you get to the 4 years point might just be worth fitting a standard dump valve to keep them happy. Very petty i must admit.
