Water in drivers side footwell??
Hey all,
Need some help, as you probably guessed, I have alot of water in the drivers side footwell of my IV. When i bought the car last summer, the footwell carpet was slightly damp. We were ripping out all the old stereo wires etc. so took the carpet out and dried it in the sun, we concluded that the leek must be coming from bulk head where the previous numpty had drilled into it to fit the power cable through. We filled the hole with a bung and loads of sealant, job done! We have had some crazy weather recently and now the waters back, I have removed the door seal, cleaned and replaced so i dont think its that. Anyone got any suggestions on where else to search for the source of my mini paddling pool? Cheers |

Could be the windscreen leaking in, could be another grommet missing from the bulkhead :???:
As Tupp has said, could be the heater matrix too, does the water smell coolant based and is the engine losing water? |

could be the aircon pipe blocked.... not heard of an Evo doing it, but you never know.

Thanks for all the advice, So far I have tasted the water and cant detect coolant and checked all bulkhead gromets. The only thing i can think to do is, remove and vax the carpet and leave it out for a week so, should be easier to detect the source of the problem.
