throttle potentomitor adjusting

does anybody know how to check and adjust the black box on the throttle bodie (evo 3) ? i thinks its a throttle potentomitor. somebody i know who owns a 200sx said it can have effect on the ignition timing.

since i changed my engine i used the throttle bodie off my old engine,just wondering how likely it will need to be setup again for this engine or not?

i adjusted the tps om my rs its a right pain to do and very difficult to get right without diagnostic equipment.as far as i know it doesn't affect ignition timing but could be wrong.
