Tokyo Drift - Can you solve an argument for me?

Friend and I are arguing about the EVO in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. He says it's an evolution VIII. I say it's an evolution IX. Anyone know who is right?

got my V and X mixed sorry!

I think it is VIII. I remember in some TV program was said that it was VIII.

Well, according to This Site, it's an EVO IX. I have yet to watch the movie besides some video clips though, so I don't know for sure! Just check online. I figure someone would be right. :-)

So what makes you say that Hit? The bumper does look VIII but the rest looks IX to me. Did they swap out the bumper?

Having seen the movie thrice, I'd say its an Evo IX. You can see it clearly on some scenes. Still unsure? Well, you can perhaps google it up and get the details. There must be a link somewhere that leads to the answer.

This is most definitely a IX but it seems like quite a few parts have being swapped out to trick out the car. Hollywood at its best...

Nah it's an VIII MR. Cant see why anyone would change bumpers, front & rear lights then remove the votrex generator on the roof just to make a XI look like and VIII.
